Kathie Brock will detail how she and her husband, Tom, transformed a degraded remnant south of Black Earth into the acclaimed State Natural Area, The Pleasant Valley Conservancy over the past 25 years — a sterling example of restored oak savannas, dry, mesic and wet prairies, wetlands, and oak woods. “It now looks something like it did before European settlement,” says Brock.
