This new event for BMAP is meant to be an informal gathering without an official presentation. Folks interested in exploring and becoming familiar with a public property will meet at a designated public natural area for a two-hour walk. We’ll be joined by a naturalist to walk and talk about the area, the plant life, birds, butterflies and wildlife we may encounter. The volunteer naturalist will field questions and help guide you to find answers.

We encourage our peers on the walk to share their knowledge too. The walks will all be at public lands where folks can return on their own to see for themselves the changes that take place over the parade of seasons. Nurture your curiosity and join us to learn about these places that are available to you.
